March 17, 2025- The 50th Annual Jersey Shore Science Fair took place Saturday, March 15 at Stockton University, and Toms River Regional 乐鱼体育s students represented well yet again, including some blue-ribbon winners.

High 乐鱼体育 East freshman Rishil Patel (above left) won first in Mathematics for the Pappus Chain Theorem; current Intermediate South and future STEAM Academy student Jaxon Gazia (above center) won first place in Mathematics as well; and Intermediate North's Devansh Gupta (above right) won 1st place in Botany.

Intermediate East's Zoey Polhemus and Reanne Artzuela鈥攁lso, no surprise, incoming STEAM Academy students鈥攑laced 1st in their categories as well.

Tenth graders Aryan Patel and Ivan Pan won 2nd in Teams for Effects of Natural Surfactants on Drug Solubility, and HSE senior Dante Kanterezhi-gatto won 2nd in Environmental for Recycling Eutrophication. Intermediate East's Liam Marshall won 2nd and Adam Kassenoff earned 3rd.

Students who placed are moving on to the Delaware Valley Science Fair later this spring.

Intermediate East's JSSF crew included teacher Gina Verderosa; third-place winner Adam Kassenoff; second-place finisher Liam Marshall; blue ribbon winners Reanne Artzuela and Zoey Polhemus; and teacher Kelly Natke.

Intermediate North had 12 total students compete, with 10 receiving recognition from the judges.

"This group of students really supported each other through the whole science project process," said science teacher Kristin Renkin. "We are extremely proud of all of the students that participated."

APR seniors Ryan Macom, Jessica Lowe, Isabella Parga, and Declan Reibrich also competed at JSSF, and helped round out another super-strong performance from Toms River.

"I am very proud of every participant," said science fair coordinator Jessica Kurtz. "They worked hard, met timelines and goals, and communicated well. A job well done for all."
