    Chorus Joins World’s Largest Children’s Choir
    The Intermediate East Chorus made history last night, performing at the American Young Voices Concert as part of a 5,000-strong ensemble—the largest children’s choir in the world—at the Prudential Center in Newark. A highlight was a show-stopping performance by Chris Pinnella of “You Can’t Stop the Beat,� which perfectly captured the joy and momentum of the entire event. Our talented young singers proudly represented TR on a world-class stage, participating in an experience that celebrated the power of music and community.

    April 15, 2025- Every winter, Shirely Boney's Intermediate East homeroom coordinates a coat and hat drive to help those in need. This season they collected 20 huge bags filled with hoodies, gloves, hats, and coats, and donated them to the school's Rock the Closet as well as Seeds of Service in Brick, which provides relief for those in need.

    The annual science fair showcased student experiments, which were judged for scientific rigor and originality. The winners were Talia Salamone (1st); Liam Marshall, Joey Polhemus, and Reanne Artezuela (2nd, tie); and Adam Kassenoff (3rd), who all received medals and a chance to participate in the regional science fair at Stockton University in March.     Angela Germano's sixth-grade classes led a pajama drive which garnered 125 pairs of pajamas and $100 worth of books for children across Ocean and Monmouth counties. The Pajama Program provides new pajamas and storybooks, sleep health education, and caring connections for children facing economic hardships, housing insecurity, and family instability.
